The best thing to come out of the town of Oak Town was a fine fellow and soldier named Eric Leonidas Barker. Private Barker was very appreciated company on many long marches. He was always quick with good laugh. We had heard that he had been in jail once but would never talk about it except to say he had never hear of anybody called, "Miss Sissy from Wilmington."
